Facilities Operative Aprentice - Monday - Friday (08:00 - 17: hours)

Salary GBP19,000

Working within the Facilities Team to deliver a high standard of service support to the designated site, ensuring that all facilities, fixtures, and fittings are maintained to the highest levels, adhering to the H&S Policy and legislative requirements.

Whilst undertaking a Property Maintenance Operative Apprenticeship with our training provider GLP, the right candidate will develop an understanding of day-to-day management of facilities operations. With attendance to Master Classes at a training centre, the apprentice will also develop hands-on maintenance skills, to become a pivotal support to their designated site. The apprentice may also be required to support other sites within the region.

Key responsibilities include

  • Ensuring that the site is kept to a standard that meets all H&S/legislative requirements and it is a safe working environment.
  • Assisting the FM and FO in identifying and resolving facility compliance issues
  • Contributing to site projects
  • Performing regular scheduled building inspections and determines which issues need to be addressed and the plan for addressing them
  • Providing technical support in coordinating facility services in support of the site and any events/meetings that are held on site
  • ???????Working with FM to ensure all environmental initiatives are completed
  • Maintaining plant and refrigeration of the site
  • Movement of meeting room furniture and equipment, general office furniture and equipment, items to and from storage areas and the collection of building waste and recycling as required
  • Perform adhoc maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing and electrics
  • Supporting the Facilities Teams at other sites within the region when required

What you need:

  • Must be 18 years and over due to site health & safety requirements
  • Must have a driver's licence & car to travel between sites within the region
  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Desire to learn new skills
  • Good time keeping
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic IT skills
  • Previous experience of working in team desirableEnglish / Maths / Science - Le
