What will the apprentice be doing?
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will get training at college on a day release basis together with on the job training at work. You will be office based and will be trained in how the office works to support your team. You will also receive training to allow you to work safely in the office and on construction sites. At completion of your apprenticeship you will obtain a Level 4 HNC qualification with opportunity to become a qualified engineering technician (EngTech).
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
You will have an opportunity to move on to the next level of training in order to progress towards a degree level qualification.
You will be encouraged to progress to membership of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers with the aim ultimately of becoming a Chartered Engineer.

Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent GCSE Grade 6 or above in Maths & English (Grade 5 GCSE's at Grade 9-4/A Levels) Essential
- You will work as part of a team of engineers to design systems and services which make buildings warm, comfortable and effective to live, work and play in.
- You will learn how to design the different systems, whilst being conscious of how buildings use energy and contribute to global warming.
- You will consider how energy use can be minimised and how we can take advantage of renewable energy sources.
- You will visit construction sites and help in surveying existing buildings.
