Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for enthusiastic Psychology graduates and students, to work as learning support assistants in our schools in Bristol from May 2022. The roles can be both part and full-time on a supply basis depending on your availability and other commitments and it will involve working with children and young adults with additional needs.
The schools we work with cater for pupils in Primary and Secondary ages and they urgently require large number of temporary staff with Psychology background to work as Learning support assistants with their pupils to enable their learning and emotional support in and outside the classroom. To be considered for these temporary roles the ability to engage and build rapport using Psychology knowledge and academic background is essential. If you currently study psychology or a related degree or have experience working in Psychology, Mental health, Neuroscience/Counselling and can use your understanding of child psychology, emotional development, and various psychological and special educational needs, please contact us immediately as we have a huge demand from our schools for Teaching assistants with these skills.
In these Learning support roles, your will be expected to:
Support and enable learning with the instructions given by the teacher
Support the teachers for class and activity preparation
Monitor students learning, social, emotional, and behavioural progress against targets and report to the teachers of any positive and negative changes.
You will gain relevant paid work experience related to special educational needs and educational psychology.
You will be able to work flexibly as an when and where it suits you.
Build good understanding of Education and curriculum and its impact on child development Most of our schools are going to be local to you and we will offer you training through our experienced recruitment consultants and Ofsted rated CPD sessions.
