What will the apprentice be doing?
As a Degree Apprentice at ASM, you will gain a good appreciation of the Company as a whole, and the operation of its main departments by undertaking a comprehensive range of work placements and project work.
Typically you will be involved in:
team/project meetings, contributing towards design and development decisions;
contributing to design reviews, critically reviewing yours and colleagues' designs to ensure fit for purpose;
supporting peers, imparting your knowledge to others in the business.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Day release to the University of the West of England, leading to Manufacturing Engineer (degree) level 6.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Once qualified there is potential for you to continue your career at ASM.

Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent 7 subjects including English and Maths (Grade A-C or 9-4) Essential
A Level or equivalent 3 STEM subjects (or on track to obtain) (Grade B) Essential

Candidates should also be able to demonstrate success in extra-curricular activities as well as in academic studies.
