Job summary

We are recruiting a Paramedic on a salaried part-time/ full-time basis to provide online digital consultations (both video and telephone) to our patients. We are also interested in hearing from Paramedics who can work at our fixed location sites in the Southport and Formby area.

Main duties of the job

As a member of our sessional clinical team, our Paramedic works alongside GPs, clinical pharmacists and other allied healthcare professionals and provides advice on best value and most effective treatments and services. This work may include providing enhanced assessment, triage, referral and/or treatment of a wide range of patients, utilising relevant evidence based practice, local guidelines and Trust procedures. You will provide provision of appropriate care based on patient need, ensuring patients receive a timely and appropriate response when working operationally.

Job responsibilities

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • - Passionate about our vision and incredible mission to combat health inequalities
  • - Professional registration with the Health and Care professions Council (HCPC)
  • -Diploma in Primary and Urgent Care Examination Post-registration experience in an appropriate clinical setting (at least three years experience).
  • - You are an independent prescriber
  • - Previous experience of triage/telephone consultation is essential
  • -In-depth knowledge of pre-hospital care & urgent care systems with the ability to demonstrate credibility.
  • -Must be able to demonstrate workplace-based learning in a primary (or possibly urgent care) setting, with attainment against a competence-based practice portfolio
  • -Knowledge and understanding of current health and social care agendas
  • -Commit to working a minimum of 8 hours per week on a regular base
  • -Excellent communication & IT skills
  • -Dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic Paramedic who wants to work differently
