What will the apprentice be doing?
This is an exciting opportunity to support us in delivering high quality accounting services to a broad and interesting range of clients.
You will gain very valuable workplace experience whilst working towards the CIMA or ACCA qualification. We will be teaching you the skills required to maintain clients' accounting records on a daily basis and eventually financial statements preparation and tax computations.
As your skills develop, we will introduce you to new aspects of work and your responsibilities will increase.
To begin with, your work will include:

You will study on block release for the ACCA or CIMA qualification at Reed Business School as a Level 7 Apprenticeship.
We will help you develop the wide range of skills needed in order to become an accountant and business advisor. You will be supported throughout your training, completing an extensive range of professional and personal development throughout your apprenticeship, ensuring that you have skills and knowledge needed to aid your future career development.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
On completing your qualification, you will progress to a more senior role with further responsibilities. You can continue to progress to managerial roles.

A Level or equivalent Open (Grade A*-C) Essential
Things to consider
28 holiday days, including bank holidays. Additional holiday days awarded at discretion on performance based results. Competitive starting salary, which will rise in line with regular reviews of performance and experience. Bonuses also available, subject to performance. Workplace Pension Scheme. - Updating our clients accounting records including the preparation of VAT returns on our cloud accounting software.
- Processing monthly and weekly payroll
- Preparation of management accounts
