What will the apprentice be doing?
Based in Durham City, you will learn and gain experience in valuation, professional advice, sales and lettings, property management, environmental schemes, together with other general office duties whilst taking the apprentice surveyor pathway, to achieve your professional qualification. You are joining a team of dedicated professionals, working closely with the rural community to advise clients across the North of England and Yorkshire. You will gain experience in all areas of land agency.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
As a Chartered surveyor Degree Apprentice, you will work part time towards your BSc Honours degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management with apprentices from across England, spending 8 weeks each academic year at Harper Adams University, contextualising your study with practical work. In addition to University, you will have a structured training programme, to provide you with support:

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Once you complete your degree you progress to APC as part of End Point Assessment. If you pass the APC you have demonstrated you are competent in a range of areas (in the case of the rural route, these will cover areas such as valuation, agriculture, land use, leases and lettings) and you are considered to be someone who will uphold the high standards and professionalism which have underpinned the RICS for over 150 years. Further CPD continues in each year thereafter to maintain your profession.
