Start your career at Experian as an IT Apprentice!

In this role you'll gain foundation knowledge by starting in one key area. Then over the course of your apprenticeship we'll exposure you to the remaining areas helping you understand how IT & infrastructure intertwine.

Responsibilities:

Could be in elements such as:
  • Monitoring the health of application environments and recognising when there are issues occurring
  • Resolving incidents, fulfil service requests and perform root cause analysis
  • Collaborating with members of other teams when more complex issues occur
  • Deploying application upgrades and/or patches
  • Development of scripts to automate tasks
  • Generating and performing testing tasks for changes which can't be automated

You'll also get to develop your soft skills learning how to log incidents, problem solve, and eventually fix IT issues across the organisation.

In this apprenticeship you will be studying towards aL4 DevOps Qualification -funded & paid for by Experian.

Desired qualifications

Entry requirements:
  • Level 3 Software apprenticeship, or
  • A Level in a STEM subject (within the Technology and Maths fields only), or
  • BTEC Diploma in IT and successful completion of our Aptitude Test, or,
  • A minimum of 12 months of work experience within an IT role. Specific roles that are acceptable are:
  • IT Support roles e.g. Help Desk, First line
  • Software Development Roles

  • You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme.

    In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

    The learners would still be required to successfully pass the Aptitude Test at first attempt.

    The Recruitment Process:

  • After you have applied, QA will look at your application and let you know as soon as possible if you have been shortlisted. QA will then be in touch to conduct the initial screening process, and
  • If it's looking promising, we will share your details with Experian who will be in touch with an email to invite you to complete their online testing.
  • If successful, you will then be asked to complete a one-way video interview where Experian will get to meet the person behind the CV!
  • The final stage involves an interactive assessment centre delivered online. You will be invited to take part in a group exercise, an interview and you will also have the opportunity to meet with some of Experian's current students.
