The role which we are currently looking to fill is that of a Sales Development Apprentice, who through a combination of Lead generation and business development will achieve sales targets whilst ensuring our customers are delighted through their engagements with M.A.C. Solutions.

The purpose of this role is:
  • Work within the company's Lead generation and Lead pursuit processes
  • Manage requests for quotes, from pre-qualifying the enquiry with the customer through to quote follow-up and securing the order
  • Be the Customer's first point of entry into M.A.C. Solutions, triaging their requirements
  • Be the conduit between the customer and M.A.C.'s Orders team to ensure purchase orders are processed 'right first time' and in a timely manner
  • Provide input to a monthly sales report that allows market and customer feedback to be shared throughout the company and promote best practice within the sales team
  • Support the Sales teams to ensure that all Opportunities are detailed and updated with relevant notes and correspondence within the company's CRM system. That Opportunities are correctly categorised based on the relevant stage of the sales process and accurately forecast for closure
  • Provide customer feedback to Sales Management
  • Align with M.A.C. Solutions' processes in all sales activity
  • Embody the company values in all engagements with customers, prospects, partners, and suppliers
  • Be an enthusiastic and engaged advocate for M.A.C. Solutions, participating in Meetings to develop self-learning and share best practice
  • Effectively communicate with members of the team to ensure a good understanding of products, services, sales forecast, and activity


Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computing skills and reasonable competence with Microsoft Operating Systems

  • Desire to develop skills and knowledge in role and via the Sales Degree Apprenticeship
  • Keen to develop a good understanding of the general IT and OT landscape
  • Self-motivated, but a good team player
  • Inquisitive personality
  • Being able to work both as part of a team and individually
  • Being able to align to the company values
  • Confident and polite telephone manner


Desired qualifications

GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in maths and English.
