What will the apprentice be doing?
Daily work will be as placements in three main focus areas - Applications, Design and Process Enginering.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The apprentice will achieve a BEng (Hons) Food Engineering. This is studied online and in person at the University of Lincoln. As the apprentice will be based at our Poynton offices there will be 1 hour of online learning each week. Then every 10 weeks there will be a 1 week study block at the University of Lincoln.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
The apprentice could progress into any of the three pathways described above - applications, process or design engineering.

Qualifications
A Level or equivalent 2 other subjects (Grade D or above) Essential
A Level or equivalent Maths (Grade C or above) Essential

Applications Engineering
- Generate sales proposals
- Liaise with the Food Team colleagues based throughout Europe
- Participate in site visits
Process Engineering
- Carry out hands on test work
- Carry out anylsis on test results and present findings
Design Engineering
- Produce mechanical drawings
- Be involved in the design and development of new products
- Be involved with technical problem solving
