What will the apprentice be doing?

Required to participate in project work and improvement activity to support the achievement of the Empowering Communities and reducing inequalities Transformation Programme.

Duties:
  • Carry out allocated activities or tasks that contribute to the implementation of the Empowering Communities strategy and action plan
  • Contribute to the development and monitoring of specific work programmes e.g. tackling food insecurity, improving digital inclusion, responding to the cost of living crisis
  • Assist in the organisation of meetings, events and activities to support successful project outcomes through collaborative effort.
  • Follow step by step instructions that detail the actions to be taken within specific projects and report back on completed and incomplete actions within agreed timescales.
  • Develop a corporate policy tracker to enable a shared knowledge of policy developments and opportunities

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The post holder will follow an approved training course to achieve level 4 Associate Project Manager apprenticeship within a two-year time frame

Either before or during the apprenticeship, apprentices will be required to achieve level 2 qualifications in English and Mathematics prior to taking end point assessment (EPA). Apprentices are required to achieve a suitable level of knowledge as part of their development such that they achieve an IPMA Level D qualification or APM Project Management Qualification, prior to their EPA.

All training & learning will be delivered on site.
