Job summary

An exciting opportunity to join an employee relations team managing employee relations for a Trust with 12000 employees. This role will be fully involved in supporting the Trust in meeting its absence targets and supporting the team and managers arranging meetings, providing KPI data, manipulating data using Excel, minute taking and supporting some sickness review meetings.

This team of 11 provide a full employee relations service and are expected to have excellent and up to date employee relations knowledge.

To be successful in this role you will need a minimum of level 3 CIPD qualification and be willing to study for your level 5 CIPD, demonstrable experience of working in a complex HR or Recruitment environment on a wide range of issues and supporting the team in managing reporting through excel and database systems. Apprenticeships at Level 5 will also be considered.

Job responsibilities

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WHAT YOULL DO
This is a fast paced role and you will have responsibility for providing first line generic advice, minute taking, handling reporting and responsibility for a small case load after training.

You must be an excellent communicator with excellent written skills to assist managers with compiling outcome letters and be experienced in using excel and HR systems.

If you are looking to expand your already proven HR knowledge this may well be the role for you.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
Must be able to cover shifts between 8.00 and 18.00 M-F

Excellent IT and phone skills.

Proficient in managing excel data, minute taking and letter writing

Must be able to drive as may have to visit other sites.

Person Specification

Qualifications / training required

Essential

  • Good standard of general education (i.e. 5 GCSE's, including English and Maths, or equivalent level of qualification).
  • Level 3 CIPD or studying for


Desirable

  • Higher level education - HNC or equivalent


Previous or relevant experience necessary

Essential

  • Recent experience in a complex HR administrative environment
  • Track record of meeting objectives
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Experience of HR Systems, ER Database tracking systems


Desirable

  • Previous experience in a customer facing role.
  • Experience using the NHS ESR
