What will the apprentice be doing?

This apprenticeship is suitable for engineers working in a wide range of sectors to rely on embedded systems design including telecommunications, information and computer technology, defence, energy (including renewables), transport and consumer electronics.

The candidate will be expected to work on electronic development projects and take part in most of the following activities:

- Schematic design and simulation of electronic systems

- PCB Layout using an appropriate CAD package

- Testing of prototype electronic systems

- Systems Engineering activities including design, requirements capture and system testing

- Documentation of electronic systems designs.

BEng (Hons) Electronic and Computer Engineering Degree
