Job summary

We are looking for a dynamic, highly skilled, and experienced clinician to deliver on new transformational models of prudent health care for children with a wide range of neurodiverse conditions. We are looking for a practitioner who has an improvement and systems approach to clinical care, able to network and develop new sustainable models of practice to support covid recovery and the Additional Learning Needs Act within the Children's Physiotherapy Service. This individual will support achieving performance targets and waiting list transformation for this highly important group of patients. The ability to work closely with colleagues in Local Authority, Education, and wider health teams to support opportunities for participation, community engagement and inclusion.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will have the ability to lead, network and establish new service pathways that are evidence based, time focused and outcome driven. This role will also hold a portion of Team Lead responsibilities within the job plan alongside the existingTeam Leader at Serennu Children's Centre. We are looking for a forward-thinking clinician with the skills to combine highly specialist clinical practice and innovation. You will be committed to following best practice and the promotion of high-quality physiotherapy services. As a clinical Specialist you will have demonstrable leadership qualities and excellent communication and time management skills with proven abilities to build networks across sites and disciplines. Through your knowledge of emerging clinical advances within the speciality, you will be expected to advise the Clinical Lead, Operational Manager and Senior Management team to inform future service development.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Job responsibilities

This post will be based within the Serennu Children's Centre working closely with the local Team Leader, Clinical Lead and Operational Manager. Please note whilst the main base is Serennu, there is a requirement to work throughout the health board as this is a community role. Regular support to other sites including Caerphilly Children's Centre and Nevill Hall Children's Centre will also be part of the role.
