Job Details
The post holder will carry out Workshop cleaning duties within The Fleet Workshop at Alfreton Resource Centre, ensuring appropriate cleanliness, and engineering hygiene across the workshop and working to Infection Prevention Control Measures completing daily cleaning and completing cleaning document records and maintaining the safety of the working environment. There will also be some driving duties required so a C1 driving entitlement is essential.

The East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides Emergency, Urgent and Non-Emergency pre-hospital care and transport across six counties (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire & Rutland and Northamptonshire). We have over 70 locations and 800 vehicles, a range of specialist medical devices and 3100 staff supported by 1800 volunteers.

Main responsibilities:
Deep clean each vehicle as directed:
iii) Replace all equipment in vehicle.
Report all vehicles accidents or accidents to property, Station or other, or persons, incurred whilst carrying out the duties of the post, to the Operations Manager and complete appropriate accident report form.
General Duties
The work methods and frequencies of cleaning are set out in the Workshop Cleaning Schedule and must be strictly adhered to.
Ensure proper and effective use and cleanliness of cleaning equipment and materials.

Undertake, as required, training appropriate to the duties of the post.
Ensure that health and safety requirements associated with the duties of the post are strictly adhered to.
Comply with fire precaution requirements and fire precaution drills associated with each aspect of the duties of the post.
Undertake other similar duties as may be allocated by the General Manager
The duties and responsibilities of the post will be undertaken in accordance with the policies, procedures and practices of the Trust, which may be amended from time to time.
Patient Safety is a key priority for the Trust. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are fully compliant with EMAS policies and procedures in respect of patient safety, for example Risk Management, Infection Prevention and Control, Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
